LONDON (AP) -- Brazil midfielder Paulinho is set to undergo a medical at Tottenham on Friday ahead of a move from Corinthians.

Paulinho, 24, is due in London where he will hold talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Named by FIFA as the third best player at the Confederations Cup, which Brazil won, Paulinho will be Tottenham's first signing of the summer.

Tottenham is looking to strengthen its squad after finishing fifth in the Premier League last season and narrowly missing out on a place in the Champions League.
