Puncheon penalty helps Crystal Palace to draw with Norwich

LONDON (AP) - Jason Puncheon equalized from a penalty just before halftime Wednesday to give Crystal Palace a 1-1 draw against Norwich in the Premier League.

The visitors went ahead in the 39th minute when Bradley Johnson fired in a shot via the post, but Leroy Fer pushed Mile Jedinak in the area in the 39th minute and Puncheon converted from the spot.

The draw meant Palace went back down into the relegation zone as it was leapfrogged by Fulham, while Norwich is just three points from danger.

In a game played in a downpour, Norwich was reduced to 10 men in the 83rd when Fer was given a second booking for a late challenge on Jedinak.

Palace striker Marouane Chamakh was lucky to only pick up a yellow card after shoving Wes Hoolahan to the ground in the 41st.
