Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra will remain with the club for another season after signing a new deal.

MANCHESTER, England (AP) - Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has a signed a contract extension through the 2014-15 season.

The 33-year-old France left back has made 379 appearances since joining United in January 2006, winning five Premier League titles and the Champions League. He also scored 10 goals and regularly wore the captain's armband in the absence of former skipper Nemanja Vidic.

Evra's previous contract was to expire during the summer.
