England men's national team

The England men's national team was one of the more scrutinized clubs of the recent World Cup in Brazil. They did not advance to the knockout round of the tournament, losing their first two matches to Italy and Uruguay respectively, both by a score of 2-1. They would play to a 0-0 draw with Costa Rica in their final contest.

Their leading goalscorers were Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge with one each, and they were led in assists by Rooney and Glen Johnson.
