Coming off two ACL tears that have taken away essentially two years of his prime, New Jersey-born Italy international Giuseppe Rossi managed to emerge at his peak with Fiorentina during his comeback season before suffering his latest setback. A bad tackle in a Jan. 5 clash with Livorno put Rossi's season -- and World Cup hopes -- on thin ice, with time of the essence as this summer's tournament in Brazil approaches.
Still leading Serie A in goals with 14 despite missing more than a month, the 27-year-old Rossi is currently rehabilitating his injury in the United States. He stopped by the SI Now studio to speak to Grant Wahl about a number of topics: His injury, his chances of making it back in time for Italy's run in the World Cup, his resurgence with Fiorentina, playing alongside Mario Balotelli and much more.
