NBC networks to broadcast all 10 EPL season finales simultaneously
The final day of the Premier League season holds the potential to be one of the most riveting sports days of the year, with a league champion, Champions League berths and relegation doom all being settled within a head-turning span of two-plus hours. Events from one game have the potential to impact many others in real time as the minute-to-minute drama unfolds.
Fans will have a chance to take that all in -- and get creative with multi-screen set-ups -- as NBC, the USA's EPL rights holder, will be broadcasting all 10 of the season's simultaneous finales on May 11 across its family of channels. It marks the first time all of the season-ending games will be aired on network TV at the same time.
The lineup of 10 a.m. matches (just which games appear on which channel has yet to be determined and will be announced in early May) includes:
Liverpool vs. Newcastle
Cardiff City vs. Chelsea
Manchester City vs. West Ham
Norwich City vs. Arsenal
Hull City vs. Everton
Tottenham vs. Aston Villa
Southampton vs. Manchester United
Fulham vs. Crystal Palace
West Brom vs. Stoke City
Sunderland vs. Swansea CityAs it currently stands, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City will be duking it out for the title; Arsenal and Everton will be fighting for the all-important fourth place (which yields a Champions League berth), with Tottenham and Manchester United narrowly hanging on behind them; and Sunderland appears set for relegation, while a solid group of 6-8 teams ahead of the Black Cats fight for survival.
