The goal of this weekend may have come from the flying, diagonal feet of Wayne Routledge. The Swansea City midfielder's sensational volley at the top of the box gave Swansea City a 2-0 lead over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in a game the Welsh side would eventually win 3-0. 

The play came almost from nothing, as the ball bounced around the West Brom box with Swansea struggling to get an effort on frame and the defense doing a, shall we say, not so great job of clearing it. 

Then the ball fell to the top of the box, Routledge ran in like a righteous lighting bolt and did this: 

Can't say I've seen anything like that shooting form before. Here's the video version, via NBC Sports. 

The goal is Routledge's first of the young season. Barring something outstanding, it will likely be his best.
