Texas radio station does weekly RGIII segments, which must be getting sad
Robert Griffin III had a great college career at Baylor, becoming the school's first player to win the Heisman Trophy. People in Waco still love him, as Dan Steinberg of The Washington Post discovered.
Baylor fans are so grateful for everything Griffin did with the Bears that many of them now root for the Redskins.
The local ESPN Radio affiliate went to New York in 2012 to do a show from the NFL draft and still broadcasts Redskins games. They also have an "RGIII Progress Report" every Monday.
This year has been a busy year for RGIII news, but certainly not a good one. He suffered the second serious injury of his three-year career, came back, got benched, came back again and got benched again.
Head coach Jay Gruden reportedly wants the team to move on from Griffin, but owner Dan Snyder is supposedly still behind him. Stay tuned to your radios for updates, Waco.
