Hope Solo started in goal for the United States' gold medal runs in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics

Soccer star Hope Solo was arrested on domestic violence charges on Friday night, according to the Seattle Times.

Solo, currently a goalkeeper for the Seattle Reign FC, is accused of attacking her sister and nephew during a party at her home. She is being held without bail for two counts of investigation of domestic-violence assault.

According to Kirkland police Lt. Mike Murray, there were visible injuries on both the sister and nephew. “There was a big party going on at her house. It was an out-of-control situation,” Murray said. Solo was allegedly struck by husband and former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens before they were married in 2012.

Solo led the U.S. women's national team to back-to-back Olympic titles in 2008 and 2012. The women's team played a friendly against France on Thursday night, however, Solo sat out due to "a family commitment."
