27 ... 27 ... what could 27 possibly refer to today when it comes to Russian supermodel Anne V?
The number of letters in her full last name? No ... that can't be it, Vyalitsyna only has 10.
The number of times she's appeared in SI Swim? No ... nine times is impressive enough.
Necessarily then, it must be the birthday she's celebrating today! Born 27 years ago in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, Anne has become one of the most recognizable names in the fashion industry. She was discovered by an IMG scout at the age of 15 while competing for MTV's Fashionably Loud Europe in St. Petersburg, Russia. Anne debuted in the Paris Spring 2001 show for Martine Sitbon, also walking for Roland Mouret and Sophia Kokosalaki, and has been just about everywhere, ever since.
Within six months of her first runway show she became the sole face of Chloé in 2002, signed a contract with Chanel's Chance, and modeled for Anna Molinari and Sportmax Spring ad campaigns. In 2004 Anne starred in Alanis Morissette's music video Out Is Through (other videos since include: Misery and Never Gonna Leave This Bed by Maroon 5), and has now walked the runway for countless designers (such as Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Victoria's Secret, and Givenchy) as well as appeared in many high-profile campaigns (such as D&G, Mango, Ralph Lauren, Saks, and Revlon).
If that weren't enough, there's always Sports Illustrated. The Russian beauty made her SI debut in the 2005 Swimsuit edition and has been a mainstay for the last nine (that's right, nine!) years.
She's got a lot to celebrate, so help us wish Anne a very happy 27th birthday!SwimDaily celebrates nine years of Anne V
