When she's not at the center of a Doritos controversy, Chrissy Teigen is known to model a swimsuit or two. But for the 2013 SI Swimsuit Issue, we asked her to go back in time and channel 1971 cover model Tannia Rubiano. As you can see below, the results were pretty impressive.

But spending 14 hours virtually naked, save for a little paint on your body, was a strange experience, even for someone as outgoing as Chrissy. "The funny thing is how all the girls were saying 'Oh when you have the suit on you won't even feel naked,'" the six-time SI Swimsuit model said of the shoot. "But I 1,000 percent feel naked." 

Since its inception in 1999, body painting has always been a stable of the SI Swimsuit has been arguably the most popular section of the magazine. The photos are the brainchild of Joanne Gair, a new Zealand-born makeup artist who has worked with SI for all its body paint shoots. Will Chrissy don body paint again for the 2016 issue?
