Lukas Rosol is best known for beating Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon last year.

Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain 6-3, 6-2 Sunday to win the BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy for his first ATP title.

Rosol made quick work of things, winning in in 67 minutes and converting four of his nine break points in a clay-court final between two unseeded players.

Rosol is ranked No. 48 and defeated three seeded players on his way to the final. Among them was three-time champion Giles Simon of France in the semifinals. Rosol saved all eight break points he faced to end Simon's 16-match winning streak in Bucharest.

Garcia-Lopez struggled to keep up with Rosol a day after defeating 2011 champion Florian Mayer in three sets to make the final.
