The women's draw for the 2014 U.S. Open Tennis Championships was announced Thursday, a day after the women's seeding was unveiled.
No. 1 seed Serena Williams will open against 18-year-old fellow American Taylor Townsend, who made the draw as a wild card. Williams' quarter of the bracket includes No. 8 Ana Ivanovic, and her half includes No. 3 Petra Kvitova.

No. 5 seed Maria Sharapova opens against Maria Kirilenko. Sharapova's bracket includes No. 2 Simona Halep, who she could potentially meet in the quarterfinals, and No. 10 Caroline Wozniacki.
