WTA pro Melanie Oudin is out of the hospital and resting at home after recently having a procedure to correct a heart condition.

Oudin said on Twitter that her procedure to correct a form of arrhythmia, which diagnosed last month, “went extremely well" and she "just wanted to thank you guys for your kind thought and prayers."

Oudin told the Associated Press that she had been experiencing periods of an accelerated heartbeat that were occurring during and after matches. Oudin, 23, said she also needs surgery for what she referred to as “a growth” in her eye.

She burst upon the scene in the 2009 when she reached the fourth round at Wimbledon as a qualifier and the U.S. Open, reaching the quarterfinals of the tournament as a wildcard.

She was ranked as high as No. 31 in the WTA rankings in 2010 and is currently ranked 165th. Her lone WTA victory came in 2010, when she won a Wimbledon warmup event on grass at Birmingham, England, upsetting Jelena Jankovic in the final.
