Roger Federer took on Simone Bolelli in the second round of the 2015 Australian Open on Tuesday, and the final result was predictable. Federer, who entered as the No. 2 seed in the tournament, dispatched of Bolelli in four sets, and he won the final three sets while allowing his opponent to take only seven total games.
In the course of the win, Federer reminded the tennis world of his apex as one of the best players of all-time, and he did so with a beautiful drop shot during the third set.
Bolelli simply has no chance to return the shot from Federer, who is looking for a record-breaking fifth title at the Australian Open. Federer, 33, needed medical treatment for a bee sting after dropping the first set to Bolelli.
Federer will play Andreas Seppi in the third round on Thursday.
