Beyond the Baseline Podcast: Venus Williams ahead of 2016 U.S. Open

On this week's episode, Venus Williams joins the podcast to talk about the upcoming U.S. Open, the Rio Olympics, her diet, what it's like owning a business and more.

On this week's episode of the SI Tennis Beyond the Baseline Podcast, SI.com's tennis producer Jamie Lisanti talks with Venus Williams.

With the show's usual host, Sports Illustrated executive editor Jon Wertheim, away for the week, Lisanti fills in to host the show and is joined by seven-time Grand Slam champion, five-time Olympic gold medalist and current World No. 6 Venus Williams ahead of the 2016 U.S. Open. In New York ahead of the tournament, Venus discusses how she feels about being back in the city and what she's most looking forward to in the year's final Slam, which will be the 18th U.S. Open of her career. Venus also talks about her athletic apparel line EleVen and the ups and downs of being a businesswoman and entrepreneur. She talks about how she designed her kit for this year's U.S. Open, how being in business meetings and running her own company compares to her time on the tennis court and more.

Sponsored by dairy-free plantmilk company Silk, Venus also discusses her nutrition, how she learned what type of diet works for her body and her "chegan" approach to veganism.
