Video: Serena Williams memorable moments

Never conventional, sometimes inconsistent, but always entertaining, Serena Williams has built a career on shocking us all. She revels in defying the odds and proving everyone wrong, and she's done it time and time and again.

With Williams turning 30 on Monday, enjoy this collection of some of the biggest moments (for better or worse) in her outstanding and eventful career, plus a couple of lighthearted videos we just couldn't resist including.

First title, 1999 Open Gaz de France: Serena picked up her first professional title in Paris, needing three sets to beat Australian Open runner-up Amelie Mauresmo in the final.

*****

First major title, 1999 U.S. Open: Seeded seventh, Serena beat the likes of Monica Seles, Lindsay Davenport and world No. 1 Martina Hingis to win the first Grand Slam title of her career.

*****

Sibling rivalry, 2002 Wimbledon: After beating older sister Venus in the 2002 French Open final, Serena backed it up with a successful rematch at the Wimbledon final, her first title at the All England Club and the second step toward completing the "Serena Slam."

*****

"Serena Slam," 2003 Australian Open: In four consecutive Grand Slams (French Open 2002 through Australian Open 2003), Serena faced sister Venus in the finals. After a three-set victory in Melbourne, Serena became just the sixth woman in the Open Era to hold all four Grand Slam titles.

Sibling rivalry 2.0, Dance-off: Who's got the better moves?

*****

Foot-fault-gate: The foot fault heard 'round the world. In the 2009 U.S. Open semifinals, a costly foot fault on her second serve handed Kim Clijsters double break point and the ensuing meltdown and point penalty ended the match in the most bizarre fashion.

*****

"You're unattractive inside": Serena lost her cool again at the 2011 U.S. Open , this time berating chair umpire Eva Asderaki after being penalized a point for yelling "Come on!" in the middle of a point against Samantha Stosur. Williams was fined $2,000 for the outburst.

*****

Dance-off 2.0, World TeamTennis, 2011: We can always rely on WTT for some quality entertainment. This year, Serena broke out in the "Dougie" during her doubles match at Randall's Island, N.Y.
