Venus Williams shows off her sandwich New York's Carnegie Deli in 1998. (Lynsey Addario/AP)

In 1998, New York's famed Carnegie Deli named a sandwich after Venus Williams. That monstrosity has turkey, roast beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sweet peppers and mayonnaise on whole wheat. It cost $16.95 at the time.

I'm not sure that's in regular rotation on the Venus diet these days. She tweeted this on Sunday:!/Venuseswilliams/status/120645126119886848
