A look at some of the best quips and quotes from the last two weeks at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. These just might have flown under the radar.

Shadowboxer: "I don't know. I actually haven't thought about it, but I think it would be really interesting to play myself, you know, just actually for my own improvement to see -- to figure out -- the way to beat myself so I can improve even more."

-- Victoria Azarenka, who is now 23-0 in 2012, on how to beat her.

Doubting Rafa: "I believe everybody who is not too arrogant have doubts. That's the real life. I have doubts. At the same time I believe that I can do it, but I don't want to go to bed tonight thinking I gonna win the match of tomorrow. I gonna go to bed tonight thinking that hopefully I will play a fantastic match and hopefully I will have my chances to win the match."

-- Rafael Nadal on the relationship between doubt and belief.

If Roger says...: "I like this court. I don't know, maybe next year will be much faster if Roger says, no? I have already this week a lot of time violation. That's the true."

-- Nadal on Roger Federer's complaints regarding the slow speed of the courts.

Back to good: "I sort of expected myself to come out and play a good match today after the struggle I had against (Thomaz) Bellucci. I don't usually struggle, you know, back to back days."

-- Federer, who still isn't used to prolonged slumps.

Sad Juan: "Don't tell me that."

-- Juan Martin del Potro's response when a reporter told him Federer agreed with him on an out call that Hawkeye failed to review. Del Potro never recovered from the call and lost the match. See the point at the 19:53 mark here.

Malevolent Maria: "That's sad. (Smiling.)"

-- Maria Sharapova after being told Ana Ivanovic cried after hitting a bad drop shot in their 2008 Australian Open final.

No mercy: "I mean, I think she played an excellent game at 5-Love, you know. She hit some incredible backhand. I was really actually stupid enough to challenge it. I saw it was clearly in (smiling)."

-- Azarenka admitting she used Hawkeye on a ball while up 6-0, 5-0 on Agnieszka Radwanska.

Enough of you: "I hope maybe not next week. Maybe in the final, then, you know, it's okay. (Smiling.)"

-- Radwanska, who has lost to Azarenka four times already in 2012, isn't quite ready for a rematch yet.

And we wouldn't want you to: "My coach is, 'Look at Novak. Look at him. They're so ripped.' I'm like, 'Yeah, well, I can't look like that.' (Laughter.)"

-- Ana Ivanovic on trying to gain more muscle strength.

Russians being Russians: "We do have this tough mentality. Maybe we're a little too hard on ourselves because we want to be perfect. When things are not going our way we can just get a little bit carried away. But we have a really good work ethic, and if we set our mind to something, we will make sure we get it, easy way or the hard way."-- Nadia Petrova, on the "Russianness" of Russian tennis players.
