Maria Sharapova and No. 1 Victoria Azarenka clashed in the U.S. Open semifinals on Friday. The match went the full three sets, but Azarenka held off Sharapova to win 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 and reach her first career U.S. Open final. After both making the semis, Azarenka and Sharapova will be No. 1 and 2, respectively, when the new rankings come out on Monday.
