On a windy day in Arthur Ashe, Andy Murray took down Tomas Berdych 5-7, 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (7) to return to the U.S. Open final for the first time since 2008. The match stretched just short of four hours and was plagued by high winds that wreaked havoc on players' service tosses and blew debris onto the court numerous times. Berdych was erratic, finishing the match with 64 unforced errors compared to Murray's 20.
