Report: Mardy Fish to skip European clay season, eyes restart at Queens
Mardy Fish intends to skip the European clay-court season and is aiming to return in June when the tour transitions to the grass at the AEGON Championships in London, USA Today's Doug Robson reports.
Fish took a seven-month break after last year's U.S. Open due to complications from a previously diagnosed heart arrhythmia. He has played three tournaments in 2013. The announcement isn't a surprising one after Fish's abbreviated comeback stalled on the U.S. clay courts this month.
Fish came back at Indian Wells in March, losing to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the round of 32. He then lost in the first round of last week's Sarasota Challenger to Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo and then withdrew from this week's Tallahassee Challenger citing personal reasons.https://twitter.com/dougrobson/status/329341355073605633
