During No. 28 Grigor Dimitrov's stunning second-round upset of No. 1 Novak Djokovic at the Madrid Open on Tuesday, I joked on Twitter that Dimitrov would easily be a top 15 player if he received a point every time he fell on the court. My observation was met with some skepticism, and now I feel compelled to set forth in an organized fashion the growing book of evidence that supports my basic premise.

Grigor Dimitrov falls down. A lot. And here's the proof:

2013 Monte Carlo: To be fair, he hasn't actually fallen to the ground yet in this picture. But we all know what happened a split second later.

2012 AEGON Champioships: Thus begins a recurring theme in this post: Dimitrov falls down a lot on grass.

2012 AEGON Championships: The soft London turf is practically begging to be touched.

2010 AEGON Championships: At least he avoided the grass stains this time.

2013 Brisbane: Ouch.

2011 U.S. Open: Seriously, how does this guy get himself into these situations?

2011 Wimbledon: When the high-flying Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has to check on you after a fall, you know you're doing it wrong.

2012 AEGON Championships: But, hey, you know what? His flashy style works and it's a big reason why he's one of the most entertaining young players to watch.
