INDELIBLE MOMENT Arizona State snapped top-ranked and two-time defending national champion Nebraska's 26-game winning streak with a 19--0 shutout on Sept. 21, 1996, only the 12th time to that point that a No. 1 team had been held scoreless. That night QB Jake (the Snake) Plummer claimed the top spot on the Sun Devils' alltime passing yardage list, and the defense had three safeties.
