Quigley wins WNBA sixth woman of year

CHICAGO (AP) Sky guard Allie Quigley earned WNBA sixth woman of the year honors Sunday.

Quigley garned 26 votes from the 38-member national media panel of sportswriter and broadcasters. She averaged 11.2 points, nearly 7.5 points more a game than she had last season.

The DePaul graduate scored in double figures in 21 games, including a two 20-plus point efforts. She shot 88 percent from the free throw line and 39 percent from behind the 3-point arc.

Jia Perkins of San Antonio was second with 6 votes, Shoni Schimmel was third with four and the Stars' Danielle Adams received the other two votes.
