Ana Dabovic scored 25 points and Sonja Petrovic added 22 to help Serbia beat France 76-68 on Sunday in the EuroBasket women championship game and qualify for next year's Olympics in Rio.

It's the first time that Serbia will ever play in the Olympics in women's basketball. The Serbia men's team won a silver medal in the 1996 Atlanta Games - the first Olympics they were eligible to play in after the breakup of Yugoslavia.

Serbia led 67-64 with 4:30 left before Dabovic scored six points during an 8-2 run to seal the game. France, which finished as the silver medalists at the 2012 London Games, were led by Sandrine Gruda's 16 points.

France, bronze medalists Spain, Belarus and Turkey will now have to wait until next year to qualify for the Olympics. All four teams will be part of a last-chance tournament next spring.
