Colts GM Announces That They Will Select Andrew Luck

Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson has announced that Andrew Luck will in fact be the Colts No. 1 overall pick in this week’s NFL draft, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network.

It was widely believed that the club would select the former Stanford standout with their top pick, however rumors arose in recent weeks that the team may have considered taking Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Robert Griffin III instead. Griffin will likely be selected with the second overall pick by the Washington Redskins, as the club specifically traded up to take whichever of the two quarterbacks were left available.
