Report: Clippers guard Chris Paul could return to lineup this weekend

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said that All-Star guard Chris Paul could return this weekend as he works his way back from a shoulder injury.

Paul has been out since Jan. 3 but Rivers said that Paul looked good doing one-on-one work and could return for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ersaccording to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

Paul suffered a joint separation of his right shoulder and was originally supposed to be out for up to six weeks. The team has gone 11-5 in his absence and is averaging a league-high 111.7 points per 100 possessions in that span.

He was averaging 19.6 points, an NBA-best 11.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 steal per game at the time he was injured.
