Wes Welker Got Paid Too Much at the Kentucky Derby, and Churchill Downs Wants Its Money Back
Wes Welker and Tom Brady at the Kentucky Derby
Lots of people think that professional athletes make too much money, but Churchill Downs is really serious when they say that Wes Welker made too much money. We don't know how much money Welker bet or which horse he bet on, so we can't check the math. But Welker is entering the second season of a two-year, $12 million contract, so he probably won't miss the $14,000 too much, as that's less than he makes in a day.
