St. Louis Blues re-sign Steve Ott for two years, $5.2 million

Thursday July 10th, 2014

The St. Louis Blues have re-signed center Steve Ott to a two-year, $5.2 million contract, Jeremy Rutherford of the Post Dispatch reported on Thursday.

Ott, 31, was traded with Ryan Miller from the Buffalo Sabres to the Blues at the trade deadline last season. He helped lead the team to the third-best record in the Western Conference before St. Louis fell to the Chicago Blackhawks in the first-round of the playoffs.

The Blues lost their starting goalie when Miller signed a three-year, $18 million deal with the Vancouver Canucks.
