Meyers Taylor plans to race bobsleds against men

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) Elana Meyers Taylor will drive in U.S. bobsled's four-man team trials next month.

Taylor is a two-time Olympic women's bobsled medalist and is already assured of a spot on the World Cup team this season after driving her way to a silver medal at the Sochi Games in February.

Bobsled's governing body deciding last month to consider the four-man event gender neutral going forward, opening the door for female drivers to race against men.

Meyers Taylor says she will be joined in the sled by push athletes Dustin Greenwood, Adrian Adams and Nic Taylor - who just happens to be her husband.

Meyers Taylor also was a bronze medalist as a push athlete at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
