Sundby, Johaug win cross-country races for Norway

DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) Martin Johnsrud Sundby and Therese Johaug led 1-2 finishes for Norway in men's and women's cross-country skiing World Cup races on Saturday.

Sundby won the 15-kilometer classical style race in 39 minutes 39.7 seconds, edging teammate Didrik Toenseth by 6.6 seconds.

Olympic champion Dario Cologna of Switzerland was third, trailing Sundby by 7.3, after leading for most of his hometown race.

Sundby's fourth victory this season extended his lead in the overall standings from another Norwegian, Finn Haagen Krogh.

In the women's 10K race, Johaug repeated her victory over Marit Bjoergen from one week ago at Lillehammer.

Johaug's time of 28 minutes 30.8 seconds was 42.5 seconds clear of triple Sochi Olympic champion Bjoergen. Third-place Kerttu Niskanen of Finland was 58.5 back.

Bjoergen leads the overall standings from Johaug.
