World champion Biles headlines American Cup field

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Two-time world all-around gymnastics champion Simone Biles will have a homecoming of sorts at the 2015 American Cup.

The Houston native headlines the elite field for the invitation only event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on March 7. Biles became the first gymnast in over a decade to win back-to-back world titles when she cruised to victory in China last fall. MyKayla Skinner, who joined Biles on the gold medal-winning U.S. world championship team, will also compete.

Sam Mikulak, a two-time national champion and the defending champion at the American Cup, leads the men's field. He will be joined by Donnell Whittenburg, who helped the U.S. men capture bronze at the 2014 worlds.
