Koreans dominate short track speedskating World Cup

DRESDEN, Germany (AP) Choi Min-jeong and Sin Da-woon won 1,500-meter races as South Korea dominated a short track speedskating World Cup on Saturday.

Choi won the women's race in 2 minutes, 29.791 seconds, ahead of compatriot Noh Do-hee and Agne Sereikaite of Lithuania, to extend her lead in the standings at the distance with her fourth win of the season.

Sin led a Korean one-two in the men's race, winning in 2:24.431 ahead of Park Se-yeong and China's Dequan Chen. Sin also extended his lead with his fourth win.

Kim Alang won the women's 1,000 ahead of Fan Kexin for another Korean one-two. Canada's Marianne St-Gelais was third.

There was a Russian one-two in the men's 1,000 with Semen Elistratov finishing ahead of Vladimir Grigorev. Dutchman Sjinkie Knegt was third.
