Rebensburg finishes ski World Cup season with knee injury

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) Viktoria Rebensburg has ended the World Cup season after injuring her left knee in a crash in training ahead of this weekend's women's races in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The German skiing federation says Rebensburg sprained her left knee during giant slalom training on Wednesday in Bad Wiessee, Germany. The 2010 Olympic champion says her ski caught a gate ''and twisted my knee.''

Rebensburg has been the only German contender in speed races this season. She is third in World Cup downhill standings.

A Super-G and a downhill are scheduled for the weekend in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
