Czechs win mixed relay to open biathlon world champs

KONTIOLAHTI, Finland (AP) Andrej Moravec of the Czech Republic led his team to the first title at the biathlon world championships, the mixed relay on Thursday.

On the fourth and last leg, Moravec shot perfectly to give himself a gap to Martin Fourcade of France, and Tarjei Boe of Norway, and he used it win comfortably.

Fourcade and France were second, 20.2 seconds behind, and Norway third, 27.7 back.
