CHICAGO (AP) Asia Durr scored14 points and Taja Cole added 13 to lead the East to an 89-87 victory over the West in the girl's McDonald's All-American game on Wednesday night.

Trailing by 14 with 5:25 left, the West got it within 87-84 with 32.7 seconds left on Katie Lou Samuelson's 3. Samuelson, a Connecticut signee, missed another 3 to tie the game with 13 seconds left.

Cole, who will team up with Durr at Louisville, sealed the game with a pair of free throws with 6.1 seconds left.

The East jumped out to a 13-2 lead, but the West came back and Durr's jumper made it 30-29 West with 7:43 left in the first half.

''We just had to move the ball, we couldn't just focus on our individual selves,'' said the East's Arike Ogunbowale, who is a Notre Dame signee. ''We had to move the ball and get our teammates open. Once we started passing and looking for the extra pass that's when we started to get the lead up.''

Te'a Omari Cooper led the West with 21 points and Stephanie Watts scored 16 of her 19 points in the second half. Cooper won MVP honors for the West.

''The comeback was really Stephanie Watts. She went off,'' said Cooper.

Mabrey, who was MVP for the East, will play with Ogunbowale and Ali Patberg at Notre Dame. Mabrey scored 12 points and had six rebounds.

''It was pretty cool, just to see what is going to be happening for the next four years. We all felt really comfortable, so we're really excited,'' said Ogunbowale.

The East led 46-43 at the half. Ogunbowale and Durr each scored seven in the first half.

Cooper, who will be the 25th McDonald's All-American to play for Tennessee, scored 19 points in the first half on 7-of-11 shooting for the West.
