SALT LAKE CITY (AP) The latest on the search for NFL quarterback Jay Cutler' brother-in-law, whose car was found abandoned Nov. 27 in a desolate stretch of southern Utah (all times local):
A team of 30 officers with dogs has resumed searching the vast desert area where the car of NFL quarterback Jay Cutler's brother-in-law was found abandoned 12 days ago.
Grand County Sheriff Steven White said Tuesday authorities still don't know where Michael Cavallari was headed or what he was doing in southern Utah. He says investigators are considering all possibilities, including that Cavallari doesn't want to be found.
That's on their radar because Cavallari was arrested in California on an allegation of making threats four days before his car was discovered. White says two deputies have gone to California to gather more information.
Cavallari bailed out of jail Nov. 25. His car was found two days later off a dirt road about 200 miles south of Salt Lake City. It was running, and the air bag was deployed.
Cavallari hasn't been heard from since. He is the brother of reality TV personality Kristin Cavallari, who married Cutler in 2013.
