We're almost there, ladies and germs. Almost. We still have a few more weeks (just less than five, to be exact) until games begin, but practices will start up soon, and any instance of 'football, hey look it's football' is a good sign.
This hype video for the Alabama-Texas A&M game certainly qualifies.
The Aggies' 2012 win over the Crimson Tide proved to be one of the most entertaining games of the season and catapulted Johnny Manziel into the Heisman conversation. And even though Alabama still went on to win the national championship, the A&M loss almost derailed Nick Saban's title chances, with teams like Kansas State and Oregon breathing down Alabama's neck at the time.
The video hints at revenge, and I'm sure that will be part of it, although I'm not sure about the "death and destruction" bit. Regardless, the Sept. 14 matchup will be critically important in the SEC West standings. This game already looks destined to be one of the most expensive tickets of the 2013 season, topping out at more than $626, according to AL.com. Even for the fans who can't afford that steep price, however, it's also sure to be one of the most watched contests.
