One of Penn State's few returning offensive line starters has suffered a "serious knee injury," according to Sean Fitz of Lions247. Senior guard Miles Dieffenbach went down with the injury last week during spring practice, and the Nittany Lions are likely to be without him for the "foreseeable future."
Dieffenbach was one of two returning starters on the offensive line heading into spring workouts. He started 23 games over the past two seasons, including all 12 at left guard in 2013. Left tackle Donovan Smith is now the only healthy returning lineman with starting experience.
