Former UAB guard Chad Frazier will seek a professional contract instead of returning to college, according to CBS Sports.

Frazier, who averaged 17.7 points and 4.3 assists last season after spending two seasons at Gulf Coast (Fla.) Community College, would have been the Blazers' leading returning scorer.

In June, Frazier was was granted his release from UAB after being arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence over an April altercation. The case was later dismissed.

UAB posted an 18-13 record and 7-9 mark in Conference USA last season.
