Duke athletic director Kevin White receives contract extension

Thursday August 7th, 2014

Duke athletic director Kevin White has agreed to a contract extension, according to an announcement from the school

The extension will keep White at Duke until June 2021. White, 63, has held his current position since 2008, and Duke has won six national championships across four sports during his tenure.

Duke received a commitment from highly-touted basketball recruit Chase Jeter earlier this week.

Last week, former Blue Devil basketball player Grant Hill donated $1.25 million to the university.

Duke men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, who is currently preparing to coach Team USA at the FIBA Basketball World Cup, said last week he does "not see an end" to his coaching career any time soon.
