Two players in the class of 2014 committed to UTEP will not play for the school this season after failing to qualify academically, according to a report from CBSSports.

Shooting guard Chris Sandifer, who received a four-star rating from the recruiting website Rivals.com, will enroll at Chipola College in Marianna, Fla.

Three-star point guard Shaq Carr could enroll at the college of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho, according to the report.

The Miners went 23-11 last season.
