Jackson is ranked as the No. 33 player in the Class of 2016 by Rivals.com.

The 6-foot-7 forward is a native of Canada and attends Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada. He chose the Runnin' Rebels over offers from Connecticut, Arizona, Louisville, Florida, Indiana and more.

From Scout.com:

"I felt a great sense of family," Jackson said. "They are a very good program. I liked the facilities and the main things that they were telling me. They are going to put the ball in my hands and they are going to allow me to be who I am. I’m a versatile player."

Jackson becomes the first UNLV commit from either the 2015 or 2016 class. UNLV assistant coach Todd Simon originally recruited Jackson to Findlay, and the recruit said he still has a "strong relationship" with him.

The Runnin' Rebels' 2014 class contained five-stars Dwayne Morgan and Rashad Vaughn, four-star Goodluck Okonoboh and two three-stars. Together, they made up Rivals.com's fifth-best recruiting class in the country.
