WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Mark Nwakamma sank a pair of free throws with 20 seconds left in the game to help Hartford escape comeback-minded St. Peter's with a 51-50 win Sunday.

St. Peter's Marvin Dominique dunked with seven seconds left to make it a one-point game and Trevis Wyche got a steal with :03 on the clock, but his 3-point attempt as time expired failed.

Taylor Dyson paced Hartford (1-1) with 15 points on 5 of 5 shooting from three-point range. The Hawks shot 36 percent from the field (15 of 41), but hit 35 percent (7 of 20) from behind the arc.

Dominique had 19 points and 14 rebounds, along with three steals and a pair of blocked shots, to power the Peacocks (0-2), who were 17 of 41 from the field (41 percent), but struggled from long range, hitting just 3 of 19 three-point attempts.
