Holy Cross takes 80-65 victory over Brown

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) Eric Green scored 16 points and three other Crusaders were in double figures in Holy Cross' 80-65 victory over Brown on Wednesday night.

Anthony Thompson added 15 points and Justin Burrell and Malachi Alexander 14 points each for the Crusaders (2-0), who hit half of their 60 shots from the floor.

Leland King scored 25 points and Cedric Kuakumensah 20 for the Bears (1-2).

The Crusaders scored the game's first seven points and never trailed. Their pressure helped force 12 turnovers in the first half when they took a 40-25 lead and they made that margin stand up by game's end. Brown finished with 23 turnovers.

Green's basket with 16:22 left in the game gave the Crusaders a 20-point lead. Brown rallied to within seven on JR Hobbie's 3-pointer at 13:26 but got no closer.
