ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) Andrew Rowsey scored 20 points and two other UNC Asheville players reached double figures Wednesday night in an 87-48 victory of Division II Johnson & Wales (NC).

UNC Asheville led 9-8 with 13:02 left in the first half when Kem Ubaru scored five straight to spark a 10-0 run, and the Bulldogs led by double digits the rest of the way.

Alec Wnuk had 12 points and Ubaru added 11 for UNC Asheville (2-1) in its home opener. Ethan Wilmoth dished out four assists for the Bulldogs, who finished with 21.

Rowsey has scored in double figures in 31 straight games.

Rickey Porter scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Johnson & Wales. Dequincey Bennett chipped in 11 points, and Nick Crawford had four assists and four steals for the Wildcats.
