UT Martin defeats Champion Baptist College 115-29

MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) Myles Taylor had 18 points to lead UT Martin to a 115-29 win over Association of Christian College Athletics-member Champion Baptist on Thursday night.

Twymond Howard tallied 12 points, on 7-of-7 shooting, and nine rebounds and both Alex Anderson and Richard Lee added 13 points for UT Martin. The Skyhawks had 31 assists including nine from Deville Smith, as opposed to Champion Baptist College's seven assists.

Stephen Hurst had 13 points and five rebounds for Champion Baptist.

Hurst hit a jumper to put the Tigers up 6-4, then the Skyhawks proceeded to go on a 54-8 run to take a 58-14 halftime lead.

Anderson hit two early 3-pointers in the second half as the Skyhawks outscored Champion Baptist 57-15 after the break.

The Skyhawks made 43 of 71 field goals (61 percent) while the Tigers shot 23 percent.
