PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) Sanford coach Dawkins wanted to make sure his team stayed focused after playing a physically demanding game over the weekend. He didn't have to worry.

Chasson Randle scored 15 points, one of four players who reached double figures, and Stanford downed Delaware 84-47 on Tuesday night.

Rosco Allen, Stefan Nastic and Anthony Brown each added 12 points for the Cardinal (4-1), who were coming off a loss to No. 4 Duke on Saturday. Reid Travis added 11 rebounds.

''I wanted us to do a good job of focusing in,'' Dawkins said. ''I think our guys came out and set the tone early. That's what you ask of your seniors and they were able to build the lead and gain momentum.''

Sophomore Camzon Hayes scored 15 points to lead the Blue Hens (0-4), who shot under 30 percent from the field for the second consecutive game. Hayes has reached double figures in all four games. Chivarsky Corbett added 10 points.

''We ran our offense well, and we got the shots that we wanted to get, we got a lot of wide-open looks, but the shots weren't falling,'' Blue Hens coach Monte Ross said. ''Unfortunately, we can't control the shots going in for us. But Stanford had a lot to do with that as well.''

Stanford opened a huge lead in the second half and substituted freely the last 10 minutes.

''That's important for us getting the younger guys in there,'' Dawkins said. ''They got to play extended minutes and that will help.''

The Blue Hens played without junior forward Marvin King-Davis, who missed his third straight game with a hamstring injury. Senior guard Kyle Anderson, the team's top 3-point shooter, has yet to play due to a broken bone in his right hand.

Stanford took advantage of Delaware's shooting woes and youthful lineup - the Blue Hens used five freshmen and four sophomores for most of the game - to open a 44-21 halftime lead.

''Delaware is a very respectable program,'' Nastic said. ''I think we all got better. It was a good step for us.''
