Kentucky and UCLA are close to finalizing a home-and-home series.
Bruins coach Steve Alford said that the home-and-home would begin in 2015 with a game in Westwood, Calif. The Wildcats would then play host in 2016 at Rupp Arena.
Alford has continued to advocate for a tough non-conference schedule for the Bruins. In addition to Kentucky, UCLA will play UNC and Gonzaga this season. No. 22 UCLA also lost to unranked Oklahoma at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas on Wednesday.
No. 1 Kentucky defeated Kansas (then ranked No. 5) this season and also plays Texas, UNC and Louisville in non-conference play, in addition to UCLA. Next season, the Wildcats fill face Duke, Ohio State, Louisville and South Florida.
